Following the success of the 2023 edition, AENEAS, EPoSS, INSIDE, and The European Chips Skills Academy (ECSA) project are thrilled to announce the second edition of the ECS Summer School “Fascination Electronics for a Cool World”. This event, taking place in Bertinoro, Italy, from 18 to 23 August, aims to inspire and attract new talents to the European Electronics Components and Systems community.
 

The Summer School offers selected students an immersive 5-day program of lectures, demonstrations, and interactive activities. The curriculum covers four main topics: Semiconductor Technology, Integrated Circuits Design, Digital Systems & Embedded Intelligence, and Integration. Talks will be delivered by representatives from leading universities, research institutes, and companies, with career testimonies by young engineers rounding off the week.
 

The Summer School is free for selected students, including accommodation and food. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to €600. The program is open to students who have been enrolled for at least two years of undergraduate studies in any STEM field from an EU or associated country university. The application deadline is 30th April 2024, 17:00 CET. Selection results will be communicated on 31st May 2024.
 

ECSA, launched in October 2023, works to understand the challenges linked with the shortage of skilled talent across the semiconductor sector. The Academy establishes programs aimed at upskilling the existing workforce, attracting new talent, and supporting the reskilling of those in adjacent sectors.
