39 partners from 10 countries had joined the forces in the ECSEL JU project InForMed, and established an integrated pilot line for a wide range of innovative emerging medical devices. The project's three year run created opportunities for numerous small companies and start-ups with innovative ideas for the new wave of microfabricated medical devices, which currently face lack of appropriate support for production and development.
