The recently finished ECSEL JU project MegaMaRt2 published a summary of its final results on the European Commissions' project portal, CORDIS. The project's ambition was to help European electronic components and systems industry reduce development and maintenance costs. In contrast to the conventional approach of building a system and then testing whether it works, the new methods allow designers to preview and tweak systems during the design phase, which in return, increases their competitiveness in the big picture. MegaM@Rt2 developed a set of tools that aid continuous development and runtime of manufacturing processes.
