KDT JU Logos & Information About Use
The KDT JU logo, shown here, is available in different formats; each may be used as best fits the layout requirements.
The logo emphasises inclusivity, collaboration, and diversity, as well as projecting a sense of renewal. It comprises the initials “KDT JU” with its definition, conjoined with a pictogram based on three circles. The circle represents community, unity, collaboration, and strength while the different shades of blue, the colour of technology and creativity, flow into each other to imply unity, representing the tri-partite concept of the Joint Undertaking (the four stars simply indicating the link with the EU), the diversity of all involved partners and the contributions they bring to the whole.
Derivatives offering different aspect ratios but retaining all essential elements are available for various layout uses (presentations, letterheads, website, and more.
KDT JU projects must state their funding sources in publications they make (see the JU Grant Agreement), being the Horizon Europe programme (via KDT JU) and of course not forgetting the National/Regional Funding Authorities also supporting the project. They must also display the KDT JU logo and the EU emblem. To help them, the JU logos and further information about their use will be made available via the KDT JU website, with logos and other supporting graphics in a downloadable ZIP archive.
The zip file will contain the JU logo in various formats and resolutions (which can be seen from their file name/type and the name of a folder they are in). KDT JU logo exists in different layout versions, suitable for digital rendering (web, ...) or for print (the CMYK version is recommended). Though mostly in 3 colours, the logos should render well in greyscale printing, too. A "binary" version should also be available, for B/W-only applications. The JU logo may not be modified in any way, except by scaling it to appropriate size while maintaining its aspect ratio. The zip archive should also contain the EU emblems in 3-colour, 2-colour, greyscale and binary versions
The KDT JU logo is copyright, though free use is authorised for the purposes described. Uses not related to the promotion of KDT JU and its projects are not authorised. Specifically, its use must not create the impression or assumption that there is a connection between the user and the KDT JU where this connection does not exist, it does not lead the public to believe that the user benefits from the support, sponsorship, approval or consent of the KDT JU where this is not the case, and it is not used in connection with any objective or activity which is incompatible with the aims and principles of the KDT JU, or is otherwise unlawful.
These are required in all publications. For the information about the use of the EU emblem, please refer to the guidelines, as well as the accompanying annex to this document, EU_Partnership_guidelines_2021.
